I am planning on going to Germany and staying for an indefinite amount of time so I was wondering if I get my 90 day passport if after the 90 days is up I can apply to renew my passport in Germany to stay longer? Or would I have to go back to the US, renew it and go back over again?|||yes they can contact your nearest embassy.|||I guess, what you need is the " Nationales Visum aka Schengen Visum Kategorie D ".
This visa is expedited by the destination country in your case : Germany. This visa is needed if you intend to stay longer than 3 month. It is only valid in the destination country. You麓ll not le allowed to travel to other country麓s in EU. This would require a " C " visa.
The " D visa " includes a working permission for the time of stay / residence. Decision of this visa makes the " Ausl盲nderamt "/ alien麓s department in Germany where you intend to settle down.
By the way , if you intend to make a journey to Germany you麓ll only get a visa if your passport is at least 6 month valid at moment of arrival. You can renew a passport at the American embassery麓s in Germany.|||There's no such thing a 90 day passport. US passport is valid for 5 years for a minor and 10 years for adult. You must be talking about a 90 day visa. US citizen if in another country other than the US go to the nearest US embassy to renew their passport.|||Passports are good for 10 years, not just 90 days. If your passport is about to expire, you best renew it NOW.|||Are you talking about visa?
You will need your US passport and if you plan to stay longer than 90 days you will have to get a visa. An US citizen can stay up to 90 days within a 6 month period in the Schengen area. So if you stay for 90 days in Germany you will have to leave Europe (and not just Germany) for at least 90 days.
You cannot work without a work visa. How were you planning to support yourself if you are staying indefinitely?
Basically you either need a skill an employer will sponsor you for a work visa for or you could be a student on a student visa.|||?? There is no such thing as a 90 day passport. Passports are valid for 5 or 10 years. Are you sure you are not referring to a 90 day VISA? The visa is issued by Germany in this case, and renewing will depend on their rules. Usually a temporary visa is NOT renewable, since the intent is to prevent long term residency.|||Lol you plan to stay for an indefinte amount of time?
Sorry but you can not just move to germany or to an other EU country and stay there as long as
you want.
You have 90 days (in the whole schengen zone not only germany) then you are an illegal.|||I am sure you do not mean a 90 passport as the US passport is good for TEN years. You probably mean a 90 day visa. I would think that a visa can be renewed at an ambassy but get your answers from the source and go www.uscis.gov Nothing like having the answer from the proper source who knows everything about this.
Have a nice trip,.|||Well you defiantly can renew over seas but a passport lasts a decade.
