Can a US Citizen renew their passport in another country?

I am planning on going to Germany and staying for an indefinite amount of time so I was wondering if I get my 90 day passport if after the 90 days is up I can apply to renew my passport in Germany to stay longer? You have 90 days (in the whole schengen zone not only germany) then you are an illegal.|||I am sure you do not mean a 90 passport as the US passport is good for TEN years. You probably mean a 90 day visa. I would think that a visa can be renewed at an ambassy but get your answers from the source and go www.uscis.gov Nothing like having the answer from the proper source who knows everything about this.
