What would you reccommend as a good free virus protection software?

Just for a temporary amount of time. My Norton subscription is going to be up in a week, and I can't afford to renew it right now, and I don't want to leave my laptop unprotected.. so|||Avast! 5.

Make sure you run the Norton removal tool when your Norton subscription expires.

Top software|||Avast or Avira are both good choices. If you decide to get Norton later don't buy it from them. Here's a link with some very good prices on Norton.
