If my headphones break for my ipod, will best buy give me a gift card with the amount of the ipod instead?

my headphones are broken. they fell in water. i was wondering if i could use my service plan for this. what happens? just the headphones get renewed or the whole ipod? i hope its the whole i pod. i didn't break my headphones on purpose. Honest.

Much appreciation.|||no i had this kind of problem before. its an accidental damage so they won't replace them. your better off just getting a pair of normal head phones because they work just the same if not better then apple ones and apple ones are a lot more expensive then if you just get headphones.|||I'm pretty sure they'd just give you new headphones since that's the only thing broken, why would they give you another iPod?
